a5c7b9f00b Seattle cop Lon McQ investigates the murder of his best friend and the corruption within the police department. In Seattle, early one morning, two uniformed police officers, and plainclothesman Stan Boyle, are found shot. The two uniformed officers died of their wounds. Boyle's partner, Lt. Lon McQ, is certain local hood Manuel Santiago is behind these killings, especially after a known hit man, employed by Santiago, tries to kill McQ. Defying the orders of his superior, Captain Ed Kosterman, McQ tails Santiago. After confrontations with both Santiago and Kosterman, and despite the sympathy of city councilman Franklin Toms, McQ enlists the help of private detective "Pinky" Farrell, and soon becomes involved in a major narcotics deal - one that blows up in the face of both McQ and Santiago and that leads to the discovery of a stunning secret for McQ. Some actors were born to play the tough-as-nails, "Dirty Harry" style cops. John Wayne was not one of them.

There is something to be said for any movie that has the Duke running down the street, Ingram in hand, to bad 70's "wakka-chikka" music. I love it. Extra points for Roger Mosley (T.C. from Magnum PI)the way too pimped out pimp (who gets the most memorable line in the movie, "Baby, why don't y'all go get daddy a hot dog.") i watched this film after Christmas and did'not expect it to be a masterpiece like Lord of the rings.

John Wayne is aboutthreateninga chicken nugget. He does'not really give the crooks a chance especially at the end of the film the shootout on the beach he just pumps them with bullets from his silenced mac 10.

The acting is terrible especially the scene where he stays at Lois's house for the night. And in the morning when he wakes up his hair is the same, he just looks the samehe did the day before.

John you should of retired long ago
